No. Tiny Tides is an elective keepsake ultrasound boutique and no referral is required. We do ask that every client be under the care of an OB or midwife, since our scans are not diagnostic and do not replace prenatal care.

Between 26 and 32 weeks. Baby has filled out enough to look like themselves but still has room to move and fluid around the face. Carrying multiples? Come a little earlier, around 24 to 28 weeks.

Drink plenty of water for several days before your visit. Fluid clarity is the single biggest factor in image quality. Eat a light snack 20 to 30 minutes before to encourage baby to move, and wear a comfortable two-piece outfit.

Our viewing room comfortably seats family and friends, and kids are always welcome. Let us know if you're bringing a larger group so we can set up extra seating.

Ultrasound has been used in pregnancy for decades with no confirmed harmful effects when used appropriately. We use the same equipment type and output levels as diagnostic ultrasound, keep sessions short, and follow ALARA guidelines.

We understand pregnancy is unpredictable. Please give us 24 hours' notice to reschedule and we'll move your deposit to your new time. No-shows forfeit the deposit.

Prints go home with you the same day. Digital images, video clips, and 8K portraits are delivered to your phone by text or email before you leave.

3D is a still image with depth. 4D is 3D in motion, so you see baby move in real time. HD Live is an advanced rendering mode that adds a realistic light source and skin tone, giving the image a softer, more photographic look.

Keepsake ultrasound uses the same low-intensity sound waves as a diagnostic ultrasound. Our sessions are kept short and follow ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) guidelines. We recommend that you remain under the care of your OB or midwife throughout your pregnancy.

It starts from your real 3D ultrasound and is enhanced using imaging software. Facial structure comes from your scan; lighting, texture, and backdrop are refined to a portrait finish.

Most portraits are ready within a few minutes and are emailed to you before you leave the studio.

At 14 weeks and later, accuracy is very high when we get a clear view. If we can't see clearly, we'll offer a free return peek rather than guess.

Absolutely. We can seal your results in an envelope, or add our Gender Reveal Kit with a confetti cannon or smoke bomb.

During pregnancy, small amounts of your baby's DNA circulate in your blood. The lab looks for the presence of a Y chromosome. If it's found, it's a boy. If not, it's a girl.

Most clients receive results within a few business days after the lab receives the sample. We'll give you an exact estimate when we collect it.

Yes. We can direct the results to a friend, family member, or party planner so you can be surprised.

We are an elective keepsake studio, not a medical provider. If we notice anything we think your doctor should see, we will let you know and encourage you to follow up with them promptly.

The module is rated for years of use. Batteries can be replaced by opening the small pouch inside the animal.

Yes. If you have a heartbeat recording from another visit, bring it in on your phone and we'll load it for you.
