8K portraits take the clearest 3D image from your session and enhance it into a hyper-realistic, studio-quality portrait. Shadows, skin texture, and lighting are refined so the image looks like a newborn photograph rather than an ultrasound.
Choose from studio or nature backdrops and match your baby's skin tone. Portraits are high enough resolution to print up to 12×18 inches, perfect for the nursery wall, baby shower décor, or a gender reveal centerpiece.
One portrait is included in our Little Waves package and three are included in Big Memories. You can also add portraits to any session.

- Portrait quality depends on the 3D image, so the hydration and timing tips for 3D sessions apply here too.
- Tell your sonographer if you'd like a portrait so we can prioritize a clean face shot.

Is the 8K portrait an actual ultrasound image?
It starts from your real 3D ultrasound and is enhanced using imaging software. Facial structure comes from your scan; lighting, texture, and backdrop are refined to a portrait finish.
How long does it take?
Most portraits are ready within a few minutes and are emailed to you before you leave the studio.
